AUTOMOTIVE

With my late dad being a photographer, we have hundreds and hundreds of family photos. This is a photo of my mom, my two brothers, and me (standing) in the backyard of our Miami home in 1963. It is also the only photo of our old '57 Chevy that still remains.

Every Sunday after dinner, we would go for an afternoon ride… just to ride. If we actually went anywhere in particular, that was a bonus! It wasn't until after I became a teenager and my dad sold the car (for salvage value), that I truly realized what a storied automobile the ‘57 Chevy was!

Later, our family car became a brown station wagon where, of course, Stan, Councle, and I sat backwards in the back seat. As you can see, I have fond memories of cars associated with my childhood - that's why I truly believe there’s something special about each car that a person owns.

When I get ready to voice a car spot, and follow the specs, I also realize that this car will be a memory maker for someone, the same way the Chevy and station wagon were for me!
